Philip Emmanouil MD was invited to give a talk on current bronchoscopic guidelines in the COVID19 pandemic and implementation strategies at the conference: COVID19 AND ITS IMPACT ON DIFFERENT CHRONIC CHEST DISEASES organized by Benha University, Egypt on 27th and 28th of May, 2021.
The COVID19 pandemic has changed our bronchoscopy practice, as we have to implement strict protocols to avoid superspreader situations which can affect our patients as well as personnel.
Additionally, due to the increased incidence of ICU bronchoscopies as well as post-intubation complications, the bronchoscopist must be alert to face new challenges.
